Salaam.
Some words are best read slowly. These are a few of them.
Yā ʿĀʾishatu, inna Allāha rafīqun yuḥibbu ar-rifqa, wa yuʿṭī ʿalā ar-rifqi mā lā yuʿṭī ʿalā al-ʿunfi, wa mā lā yuʿṭī ʿalā mā siwāh.
"ʿĀʾishah, Allah is Gentle and loves gentleness, and He gives for gentleness what He does not give for severity, and what He does not give for anything besides it."
Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2593 · narrated by ʿĀʾishah RA · Sahih
Look at the order.
Before the hadith says what Allah loves, it says what He is described as: Gentle. Then it names what He loves: gentleness.
So wherever gentleness turns up, it is loved by the One the hadith calls Gentle.
Gentle, and loving gentleness. In that order.
O Allah, You are Gentle and You love gentleness. Place it in our words and in our hands.
